Gina's Design Saves 25% on Furnace

Gina’s Design was SustainableWorks’ first small commercial building retrofit. The owner took out a loan from a SustainableWorks partner to complete the work. However, huge markups on equipment were preventing reasonable return on investment. A $16,000 furnace was reduced by almost $4,000 when SustainableWorks held the local supplier accountable by calling the manufacturer. Another dimension of SustainableWorks is coordination of incentives, primarily with the local utility. Gina’s Design took full advantage of utility incentives to complete the retrofit.
